So the weekend came. with the knowledge that i did not have any vivas on monday i went to party! Skipped breafast and lunch. by 5pm i was famished! headed out in search for food and ended up at Indulgz only intending to eat a small meal as i had a friend's birthday dinner later. but the menu proved to temping for me to just settle for a soup. ended up ordering way more.

Later proceeded to have almond paste at a desert shop thereabouts.

Had dinner/birthday party at Prego's at Swissotel. Its a total no go. food is authentic italian and totally not to my liking. not to mention very expensive. but yeah was expecting that so was really glad that i had my lunch/dinner before i went. did i mention that they have this policy that people are not allowed to share food? every one get a dish. proceeded on to menotti for deserts. had tiramisu, choc cake and canoli and some unknown thing.

As seen in the Godfather. the thing they used to poison the man. Jd was very pleased to eat this and dream of Godfather. It ricotta cheese with orange peel pistacio nuts and a chocolate wafer shell. i think the orange peel taste is a tad too strong. chocolate cake was yummylicious.

Ended the night with drinks at Loof. It was perfect. open air smoke free and the mixes are nice. Had a mother farquhar. JD had a mojito. another unique drink was the pimp. it has cumcumber in it. yes. go try. great place to chill out at after a harrowing week of exams.

Had cheese fondue and steak dinner on sunday. no pictures cause i was too busy attacking the food. attcking meaning cutting slicing and cooking. use the steamboat hot plate set so it was cheese in the middle and steak, mushrooms, peppers around it. was good. it was a small affair at JD's place complete with a nice glass of wine to wash it all down.

Pharmaco vivas came out today and i din get any. Praise God. So many times during the week before exams i had wanted to give up. what with the added bad news that i had failed a couple of tests. thank God for his strength to see me throught the week. and even as i set for the exam there were many times during the microb paper that i wanted to walk out because i din know how to do the paper. but no vivas for it. i will assume that it went fine and continue to trust God. exams this time round came so sudden amidst all the 21st birthday parties and CNY celebrations. i so totally felt caught off guard and when studying time came i was so overwhelmed by the amount i had to cover. not to mention we do not have tutorials and the fact that i skip patho practicals due to the fact that they don't help me at all. staring down the microscope or looking at some part of diseased body. really thank God for His grace to see me through the exams. without it i dunnoe how i would have survived. For those about to take exams all the best! and look to God and he abundant wisdom and knowledge. He knows you by name!
