updates
have not been feeling well since yesterday.
parents are back from their cruise.
they asked me to go on it for honeymoon. lol.
wanna tour europe anyone?
went to taste by bro's wedding dinner food.
din eat much cause i was so nauseated by the winding sentosa roads that by the time we got there i felt incredibly sick.
it went on and on and on. like 3 hours.
ok i spent most of my time kissing the white throne.
i went to school late today!!!
JD thought it would be good if i took a rest.
so slept in abit.
school is really so busy.
i just have too much work and too many datelines.
Things i need to do:
1 Set up teeth
2 Tidy up my RP cast.
3 Mount my RP casts.
4 Sent in my RP casts for record blocks.
5 Send in my RP casts for co-cr frame
6 Do my ortho casts up
7 cut my posterior bridge preps
This is ripped off JD's blog cause i'm too lazy to type it out. i'll just put it into days.
Places visited:
Day 1
- Surry Hills (where we stayed at. it also where Kylie Kwong's Restaurant is but for some reason we missed it. there are lots of gay bars there. shops wise there are lots of small shops that sell pretty up market stuff from designer paper to house ware to clothes. and there's also a nice supermart, Daffy Brothers that sells absolutely heavenly wagyu beef. its a cool, fashionable and hip place with lots of restaurants and cafes)
- we basically walked around the area and had Oporto's for dinner. you must try it. the chicken with chilli sauce is so yummy. juicy tender and cooked to perfection with a nice hot sauce.
- walked around the chinatown area
- had baskin robbins - we settled on the super big sundae with like three scoops
- Darlinghurst (lots of indian food)
Day 2
- Sydney Aquarium (watched feeding time at the great barrier reef, had cute seals and interesting big swimming creature.)
- Botanic Gardens (beautiful, but no roses)
- Opera House (much more beautiful in real life)
- Sydney CBD (like Singapore, but with better weather and friendlier people)
- had my first Krispy Kreme at Queen Victoria Building
- we walked like crazy
Day 3
- took the ferry to Manly Beach (surfers don't feel the cold)
- had Jap noodles there at this authentic japanese run cafe but was normal.
- went to Chatswood to visit my aunt and had dinner at her place
- Artarmon (many pretty houses)
Day 4
- Paddy's Market (reminded me of Bangkok. or any pasar malam)
- star city casino
- ultimo
- Fish Market (great seafood)
- xic lo vietnamese food
- Chinatown (like any other Chinatown, but better food)
Day 5
wanted to go to Gosford but there was a crazy jam due to the APEC long weekend. in the end we toured the north shore beaches
eg. Dee Why and Palm Beach
- Dee Why (apparently the original aussie surfer town, gorgeous beachfront cafes)
- Palm Beach (gorgeous beachfront housing)
- had lunch at a super nice German burger place at Dee Why beach the burgers are HUGE and they have amazing calamari
- saw protesters at Hyde Pake (falungong type)
- at night my cousin who happened to be there on holiday too joined us for dinner at my aunt's place
Day 6
- Strathfield (DFO! great shopping!)
- lots of Koreans and chinese and asians in general around the area.
Day 7
-Hillsongs church (city)
- The Rocks (market was great fun, and we saw PM Lee and his entourage drive pass!)
- Bondi Beach (beautiful and totally not overrated. at least while we were there, mainly because it was the Festival of Winds, aka Aussie kite festival! during APEC, no less)
- bondi jn also has this crazily large shopping centre it is way cool
Day 8
- Sydney Dental Hospital
Day 9
- Westmead (dental hospital was rather antiquated)
- Grandville (there is this amazing sweet shop place that sells the best arabian sweets, its super posh in a sorta dangerous estate)
- Parramatta (nice mix of the old and the new, and the ferry back to Sydney was fantastic, more like beyond imaginable)
- Darling Harbour (oh so pretty at night, met up with my Dad's friends son. its funny how i go half way around the world to meet him and never saw him in Spore before. but oh well, Archipalego brewery yeah?)
- Sydney Harbour (ferries are fun to take)
- Harbour Bridge (uhh, like the golden gate bridge, but green)
Day 10, 11
- spent in the dental hospital
- are at Pasture's viestnamese food
- late night shopping at Chatswood also had a glimsp of their Spring festival. was way cool
- Jing Hao joined us on thursday
Day 12
- University of Sydney (the quadrangle is totally classic)
- FANTASTIC thai food - SPICE I AM (its a must go)
Day 13
finally went to Gosford
- Gosford (feels more australian than sydney does)
- The Entrance (pelican bay! lots of fishermen, a carousel, children's trains, cotton candy! there's this ice cream shop - Scoops its a must try)
- Bateau Bay (incredible scenery, and many many paragliders flying around overhead)
- had dinner at a hong kong restaurant in Chatswood superb food, the pork ribs melts in your mouth.
Day 14
- Krispy Kremes for brekkie 2 + coffee and a doughnut sundae
- boost juice (makes me sick)
- bought lots of lamb, salami and beef
- packed my way over stuffed bag it was approx 30kg.
- bye bye Sydney
-can't wait to go there again. LOL.
Enjoyed the excellent weather, breathed lots of fresh air, met loads of people, cooked lots of food (Wagyu wagyu wagyu), ate more food (Oporto's, Spice I am!), saw lots of things (paragliders!), and basically had a brilliant time!
