i think everything we do pales in comparrison to tongue piercing.
the tongue has so many blood vessels.
just lift your tongue up and look in the mirror.
besides its a direct vessel for bacteria to get into the bloodstream
imagine if you are immunocompromised.
and a permanently wet environment?
how can the wound heal?
alright if you wanna get get your tongue pierced maybe you should go for oral clearance first.
get your teeth check for decay
get your gums check for periodontal disease
you don't want any of this microbes staging a war against your defense system
step virudans bla bla bla.
and get chlorohexidine mouth rinse.
and maybe don't tell your dentist that you are gonna pierce your tongue in case they faint.

one of my seniors is going for post grad studies in the us.
was looking at post grad dental school rankings
maryland is tops.
quite a few seniors are there
downside is that its a pretty dangerous place apparently.
havard is next apparently
but not so suitable for chinese
unc, washington, mich, upenn
wonder what i will do with my life after i graduate.
i think i better think about it rather than wait and see
i guess if you were a potential dental student in usa you will have a big headache due to the choice
where as we only have one.
its no doubt a good prog but sometimes i feel that doing neccessary things for some patients hinders doing more difficult interesting things.
and of course there are competencies and schdules to keep up with
perio surgery is so not my thing.
dun like seeing so much blood and results are only possible after a period of time.

ok i did not meet him
but went for his lecture.
it was a lunch time talk and by lunchtime talk i mean foregoing your only break during the day and going for a lecture.
and after school i went for another of his lectures.
wynn okuda one of the biggest names of aesthetic dentistry
his presentation skill are fantastic
he has the ability to captivate people for three hours by that i mean after dinner and work. 7pm to 10pm.
he is that amazing.
humorous knowledgable willing to share info affable entertaining.
he's part of a band matrix band. (pun intended)
some people are so entertaining.

on another note i spent today helping to cook.

and there was this mediacorp artist there who introduced herself to me
i didn't know who she was until i googled her.
hmmm...
ok i dun react well to this sort of things mainly cause i have no time for the tube.
